Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (250 mL) butter
  • 3 1/2 pounds (1.75 kg) peeled and diced carrots
  • 6 tablespoons (90 mL) sugar
  • 1/3 cup (75 mL) balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) chopped fresh dill

Directions

Melt butter in a large pan over medium heat.

Add the diced carrots and sauté for 5 minutes.

Cover and cook until carrots begin to be tender, about ten minutes. Stir in sugar and vinegar, and sauté until carrots are tender and glazed, stirring frequently, about ten minutes longer. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Add dill and toss.
