Glazed Carrot Recipe

Ginger Glazed Carrot Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons (30 mL) butter
- 1 teaspoon (5 mL) ginger powder
- 3/4 cup (175 mL) finely chopped onion
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 1/2 pounds (750 g) peeled chopped carrots
- 1 cup (250 mL) chicken broth
- Ground white pepper and salt to taste
Directions
Melt butter in medium skillet over medium heat.
Add onion, ginger powder, and garlic. Cook until onion is soft, stirring frequently, about five minutes.
Add carrots and stir to coat. Add chicken broth and bring to boil. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer until just tender, about ten minutes.
Uncover, turn heat up to high, and boil until butter glazes the carrots, tossing occasionally, about 5 minutes. Season with salt and white pepper.
